Electric Plant
A 646m common effective head between two reservoirs will be connected by
watercourse of about 2.8km in length to generate electric power at a maximum
output of 1,200MW (300MW × 4 units) using 222m3/s water at the underground
powerhouse.
Pumped storage power stations has generators that can
be started or stopped immediately as needed and plays an important role in
generating electricity during emergencies such as shortage of electric power
caused by troubles that occurs at other power stations or power lines. |
